I dont like wine – does that mean i am not classy lol?

I just dont appreciate wine even a really expensive bottle. I do like champagne like Moet but dont drink that much.

The only alcohol i like is white spirits especially vodka. I just feel a bit left out when other people are drinking wine with dinner and i dont touch it. Red wine is the worst i cant stand it.

Is it not classy that i dont appreciate a fine wine? For that matter i dont really appreciate fine dining either i prefer a steak and chips. I appreciate nice perfume or clothes etc.

Anyway should i learn to appreciate wine? Does that mean i have no class? I just hate the taste

It is much classier to appreciate your own tastes than judge yourself by someone else’s. Peace.

Saying you don’t like wine is like saying that you don’t like vegetables. There are so many different varieties of grape and production methods that there will be a wine that you like. If you like champagne then try an unoaked chardonnay. This will be dry and light and taste completely different to the heavily oaked chardonnays that you find on offer in the supermarket – which your friends probably drink.

If you don’t like heavy Australian reds then try a Bordeaux.

The best thing to do is go on a wine tasting evening run by a pub or wine bar. They are normally cheap and good fun.

Go to a supermarket tomorrow and buy a bottle of Oyster Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Chill it in the fridge and guzzle the lot.

Hah, ha, ha…good one. Drink GUINNESS, or a dark beer. My wife ordered a porter one time, and man…that looked sexy. I told her that. I have a friend who thinks he is the biggest wine expert.

I gave him a glass from $2.00 bottle of wine, and told him that it was an import from Italy hand crafted…blah, blah, blah, and he said it was one of the best glass of wine that he has ever had.

No, that does not mean you are not classy. If you do not like wine, you don’t like wine, it’s as simple as that. There are other "classy" drinks out there. Martinis are thought of to be classy, as well as a fine scotch on the rocks.

I do believe that you can tell a little bit about a person by what they drink.

It mainly means that you are not a snob. Non-snob wine lovers will understand.
